How we can Help

Contact Us.

Bath Foyer aims to help young people take steps to sustained independence by providing a package of safe, affordable, supported accomodation with self development, training and employment opportunities.

What’s on offer?

Bath Foyer has 31 flats. 25 of these are self contained studio flats and 6 flats are one bed flats. Each flat has its own kitchen and shower facilities. One bed flats can be for couples but are not reserved for them, and both people must apply and be accepted by the Foyer.

As well as a self-contained flat, at Bath Foyer you also have access to a range of activities and facilities. The most important of these is our Lifeskills Programme. When you move in, you agree with staff the goals you will work towards while here. These are written down in your Life Plan, which forms part of the Tenancy Agreement for your flat and is the basis of the training and support you will receive at the Foyer.

Young people may be referred to Foyers by Agencies such as Social Services, Housing or Youth Advice Centres. Some find their own way, through friends or relatives.

Foyers aim to create a mixed community, in which young people can support each other and provide positive role models.

In order to gain a place in a Foyer, young people generally have to show that:-

  • they have no fixed address and cannot continue to live at home.
  • they want to move forward in their lives.

How we can help you

Part of the Tenancy Agreement at the Foyer is the 'Action Plan'. Staff work with residents to help improve or uncover talents and ambitions. The plan is tailored to suit each tenants needs and skills. The Action Plan is regularly reviewed with Staff, who provide suggestions and encouragement for the next step forward. As part of this there is the offer of a wide variety of opportunities which can help boost motivation and raise self-esteem:-
